A not-so-wonderful cruise

A tip for BJ's Travel people:

When booking a room, it would be especially important that you explain what each room has. We had booked a quad for 3 adults and a baby. It was not explained to us that one of the beds was a bunk bed which you had to climb up a 5 foot ladder to get into. We are 2 senior citizens and a young woman who has MS. It was very difficult to get up the ladder. My husband injured his leg on the ladder and developed a severe infection. He had to go to the medical department 3 days out of the 5 that we were on the ship. They charged us $800 and were not the least bit concerned that this happened on their ship because of the ladder. They charged it to our credit card and told us to submit it to our insurance. Do they honestly think that Medicare will pay for it being that it was out of the country. BJ's Travel and Royal Caribbean are lucky that we are not going to sue them both.

Pros: The food and service were great

Cons: The stateroom was horrible - entirely tooooo small for 4 people

Recommends Explorer of the Seas? No.

Cabin / Stateroom
Ship Quality
The ship was entirely too big. We had to walk long distances everywhere. Again, we are senior citizens and our daughter has MS. There should be more elevators on the ship.
Children's Programs
The baby was not allowed in the regular pool because he was not potty trained. We finally found the kiddie pool and he was not allowed there either because he was not potty trained. I think they had nerve because they charged FULL price for the baby who couldn't eat everything or couldn't even go in a pool.
