Great trip

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Inside

We had a good time. It was the first cruise for our kids and parents. The Promenade cafe was a big hit. Windjammer was well laid out. we enjoyed the food. My kids are begging to go back. Our parents were a little nervous about going, and they might go again.

Pros: food

Cons: entertainment

Recommends Explorer of the Seas? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
Ship Quality
The first comedian was not fit for a family experience. I do not go on vacation to hear dirt and filth. We did not go to the other comedian, fearing the same. We heard later from friends , he was bad too. They should rate them R, so we can go somewhere else. or better yet, get good entertainment like we've had on other ships. Magicians, acrobats, violinists, etc. Ice skating show was good but after you saw it once, why go back. Overall, for a 7 day cruise, one night of entertainment(skating). Disappointing.

Children's Programs
I can't say enough about this program. Our kids could not get enough of it. It was not babysitting. There was education, games, snacks, etc. very good staff.
