this cruise was wonderful especially if your looking to relax. my 12 and 9 year old loved it. pool was never crowded and at times they were the only ones in it. music was wonderful and awesome to see so many generations dancing!
The entire cruise was amazing. Everything from service to food was top notch without fail. My whole family was able to enjoy this trip everyday because there was never a lack of things to do even for more active families. My favorite thing on the ship was BB Kings which I would recommend for anyone sailing Eurodam. The problem I see with the ship is that it is very rocky due to how narrow it is in comparison to its length. If you get seasick easily, this is not the boat for you unless you’ve got good enough medications to withstand seasickness.
While the Eurodam is not the "funnest" ship at sea (no waterslides, go kart tracks, bungee jumping, etc.), the Eurodam does offer a more traditional cruising experience and is great for those who want to just relax and cruise at a slower pace. My wife and I are 40 and 41 years old with no kids and while most of the people on the ship were retirees, we still had a blast.
We loved visiting Alaska. We will not ever choose Holland America again - we enjoy actually having things to do on a cruise. The at sea days were incredibly boring. Victoria BC was a waste. We would have saved $32 and stayed on board if we had known it was that boring. Nothing to do or see without an excursion. The rating listed below of 2.4/4 is inaccurate to describe our feelings about this cruise. A great portion of your cruise experience takes place on board. I don’t know how 2.4 is calculated, but it’s definitely higher than I would have rated it.
The cruise was very enjoyable and relaxing. The food, especially in the Dining Room was excellent and the waiters were superb! The information given via the loud speaker from the Captain and the Cruise Director were very helpful. The service for our room was great and our server left us a sweet surprise each evening. We loved meeting other guests.
In summary, the highlight of the trip is Glacier Bay and seeing small Alaskan towns. The biggest problem is extreme crowds and long lines. Since there are many cruises doing the same itinerary I think the smart choice is going with best-priced ship.
Overall this was a very good cruise. The destinations and excursions were very scenic and fun, and different, because Alaska is a unique place. The ship experience was great in some ways, average in others, but overall very good, and the service from embarkation, on the ship, to disembarkation, was excellent.
Overall, we enjoyed our cruise. The highlight of the trip was the breathtaking views at each port and the perfect weather we experienced. The ship was clean and well maintained. The service was adequate, except for the cabin stewards, who were exceptional! The food was so-so. Our biggest disappointment was the cabin space for 4 adults : ( We enjoyed the entertainment, the BB King group, especially, the lead female singer. We were a group of nine family members and we thoroughly enjoyed our time together on this cruise. The photographers on board took some great pictures. However, selling each digital print for $19.99 is a bit expensive. Two hundred dollars for 10 pictures, seriously...........
Advice anyone? Yes we figured out that excursions were pricey (if you dont already know). But the excursions in every port were magnificent. 4 for 4. Even Victoria which we had heard so much negative about because of the docking time. Pod of orca whales anyone?!?!?! Glacier bay was unbelieveable.

Overall the experience aboard the Eurodam was fantastic. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. The only negative experience was at Pinnacle Grill, which was due to unpleasant wait staff that had trouble accommodating groups larger than 2. This included half of the table not receiving menus, staff walking off in the middle of orders, and one of the waiters becoming visibly annoyed when he asked for our drink orders and we asked for a drink menu because none were provided.
