Review summary
The customer service is second to none. Captain John Scott provided updates as to location and times to observe wildlife which was helpful. The dining room (open for lunch and dinner) was very good with many different selections of meat, seafood, pasta, and dessert dishes. The Lido market offers a buffet for breakfast/lunch/dinner/late night and the quality was inconsistent. There is a burger and hot dog grill that is a nice alternative for lunch, along with a personal pizza station. The port stops are interesting with Juneau and Victoria being the most enjoyable. Juneau had a wide array of excursions and bars and Victoria has a very lively downtown with several evening dinner and drink options. Sitka and Ketchikan were morning stops and didn't offer many reasonable or interesting excursions. They were cool towns to walk through once though. Whale watching is a popular excursion, but in all honesty, they are visible from the ship on your balcony or in the Crow's Nest viewing area. Glacier Bay is a fun (and very cold) day with sights that are too amazing to describe. The onboard entertainment was hit or miss, with Billboard Onboard (live music) being our favorite. The main stage had different options that were OK. They do play a movie in a screening room daily. The casino has regular table games and is open at differing hours depending on the ship's closeness to land. Overall, it was a fun week and we were very happy with our experience and choice of ships to cruise on.

Ship tip
They have happy hour twice a day at certain bars that are detailed on the daily schedule. This includes a $2 drink with the purchase of the same drink at regular price ($6-$9). Also, eat in the dining room more often than the Lido (esp for dinner). The food and service are much better.
