Review SummaryThe ship is very beautiful. The Exploration Cafe and the Silk Den were both excellent places to unwind and relax. The china is beautiful, food was about the same as I have had on other cruises. The staff all around were very quick to please and polite. We did not do any of the specialty restaurants. We did do the kitchen tour and it was very interesting. We saw the meat that is served in the Pinnacle restaurant and it looked very good.
The Comedy Magic show was really enjoyable. The ship is more for the older crowd, we had 2 teenage girls and they were disappointed that there were not more young people. The Casino was very small and not exciting at all, big disappointment for me. The spa was very nice and I would encourage you to purchase the thermal suite and hydro pool package. The pools are set up in a strange way., you had to go through the lido buffet to get to either pool. Very crowded getting through the people. The private island was very nice and the buffet food for our lunch was excellent .
We had a balcony room and it was very nice, we had room service for breakfast every day and enjoyed it to the fullest. This was our first time cruising with Holland America and it was a pleasure.
