Review Summary

First time on Royal Caribbean and it definitely was nice. The ship itself was clean and well taken care of, the staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating. On other cruises the menu changes daily in the dining room and this cruise the menu was the same the entire cruise, so that was disappointing. The menu changed daily at the buffet upstairs though. I usually go on Carnival and found that Carnival does have more onboard activities than Royal, for example more trivia, build a bear (for the kids), more on board games to interact with the people, better shows/entertainment. Royal does have this, just not as many and I found the entertainment wasnt as good as Carnival. The ship accommodations were top notch and better than Carnival though, such as the seats in the Theatre, the dining room, the pools and decks. Overall, both Royal and Carnival are great in different ways. Royal is more for older people I think, maybe 40+ to relax and Carnival is more geared toward the younger crowds.
