Review summary

I expected a better service from Royal Caribbean. They do not accommodate well with people who are vegetarian and have a food allergy. Very limited selection. Hardly ate any of the food. Plus if you are a couple booking a cruise ship, make sure you request a 2-seater table for Dinner. Otherwise you will be put at a table with other couples. The stateroom was also very outdated. Needs furniture change and fix the balcony. There was also lines EVERYWHERE we went, took a long time to get on, get off, passport control. I would book again with a higher end cruise line for the 2 of us.

Embarkation

Super Busy and took forever. Plus we got there early.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
My wife and I are both vegetarian and lactose-intolerant. Made a special request prior to the trip and spoke with someone once we boarded the boat. Every vegetarian option while Dining in the Main Hall had milk and the vegetables were lathered in butter. Windjammer had extremely limited options to eat. Ship only catered to meat eaters.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Didn't participate. The entire ship was packed with drunk college kids for spring break.

Entertainment

Too crowded on the ship

Children's Programs

Don't have kids

Service and Staff

Best part of the cruise ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

Stateroom was okay. Furniture was outdated and scratched. Balcony had a lot of rust. Needs updating.

Ship tip

Do not go on spring break if you want to not have crowds. Plus if you have a specific food allergy or vegan/vegetarian, this cruise is not for you.

Ports of call

Hop on and off bus was great. Holding the bags till we get to the airport is a great feature.

Nassau, Bahamas

Went to Balmoral for the Deluxe Private Island with Lunch was Terrible. Food was horrendous as a vegetarian. The entire beach was packed with really loud music. Stay away from this excursion.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

Private Bungalows was amazing. Tons to do on the island and enough areas where it isn't crowded. Would book the bungalow again.

Key West, Florida

Paddling Boarding with Lazy Dog was great. The Guide was excellent and really fun. We had a small group since it was really windy, best experience in small groups. Larger ones might be totally different.

Disembarkation

Early disembarking taking your own luggage took forever. Over an hour wait just to show your passport that took 2 minutes. Need to find a better way to get guests off the boat quicker.

How do you request a 2-seater table? This will be my first cruise! Thanks in advance.

Welcome to cruising. your first cruise is always a learning experience. All mass market ships are crowded, between 2,000 and 5,000 guest each cruise. All of them will have lines in the buffet, all ships cook for the mass market, being on a specific diet may be hard on any ship (I don't eat beef, port or dairy and it can be challenging to find stuff to eat on a ship) for me. Customs can only go as fast as the custom agents that are not controlled by the Cruise lines. Spring break is always full of spring breakers out of school to party.
