Review summary

I know that you cannot control the weather but this will cause us to reconsider taking a cruise for our vacation. At least there was good food and entertainment in the theater.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easy to get on the ship. Friendly people.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
My Fair Lady had great food and the waiters were super great.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Too many contest in a confined area that limited most people to sit and watch.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved the singers and dancers. The headliners were very funny.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone we met was very helpful. My husband has insulin that requires refrigeration and a mini-fridge was put in our room without being asked.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The room was very clean at all times.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
For the cost, the room was good.

Ship tip

If it looks like bad weather, be prepared to have limited activities.

Ports of call

Key West still had several areas that visitors could not go. Nassau was the same as the last 2 times we visited it.

Took the Glass Bottom boat tour and the guide was very entertaining and knowledgeable. We enjoyed it. .

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

Didn't get to stop due to bad weather. This was the place our young adults with us wanted to do the most. Really put a damper on the results of the cruise.

We took a train tour. Had lunch there and it was very good.

Disembarkation

Had to spend at least an hour waiting (standing) around for our son-in-laws suitcase and after everyone had left, they finally took the report that it was not there. We kept asking different people what we should do and they just said to wait. It was good that we had a late flight!

June through November is hurricane season, with July through September being the worst (rains almost every day). Plan future cruises accordingly.

It has rained on me every day in Honolulu once. Location does not matter, 'weather' on a ship or a land vacation. P.S. It did not rain 24/7 so we still had a good vacation.

Don't cruise june-november. Problem solved

Try another time of the year. That's the price you pay for booking during hurricane season.
