Enchantment of the Seas, leaving from Port Canaveral, in Florida. Our Junior Suite had a drain pipe or sewer pipe coming down from the ceiling to the floor- at the foot of the bed. Not against the wall. It looked like a stripper pole at the foot of the bed! The top of it was corroded and the metal had green rust on it, running down. Obviously something had been leaking. This was a junior suite with balcony, not a cheap interior room next to the engines. There also was rusty spots on the wall lamps. The room looked 'tired and used'. A Luxury Junior suite it was not. We complained to the service desk. We asked for a different suite, or gives us some discount- something to keep us on board. They said NO, all the other rooms were booked, and there was no discount for having the Junior Suite with the sewer pipe coming down in the middle of the room. The head of customer service said 'maybe we can work something out AFTER the ship leaves port. I wasn't going to wait to hear flushing noises from upstairs in the middle of the night. We got right off the ship before it sailed. I am appalled that customer service did nothing to try to keep us on the ship. The couple in the Junior Suite next to us also packed up their bags and left. We had to arrange travel back to our home. Seems that once you are on board their ship, its a 'take it or leave it' situation. And most people would suffer thru it, since they already traveled there. Tell your friends, Royal Caribbean cares nothing about its guests. Paying extra for a junior suite with balcony means nothing to them.
