Review summary

Service:  We were so impressed at how our dinner servers remembered all of our names, even off the cruise ship, at Coco Cay Island.  The employees are very hard working and cross trained, in that once the ship stopped for our beach day, we saw many familiar faces on the beach.

The ship itself:  was a little dated. Pool was on the small side. We were on the 4th deck in a centrally located ocean view room, which was great because the dining room was on the same level, as was the area to disembark on our last day.  There was also a lounge on this level where there was live music and a small bar area.

The fact that the ship docked in the Bahamas from 12:00pm to 11:59pm was great.  We didn't feel rushed after our dolphin encounter at Blue Lagoon Island, which was phenomenal!

Overall, our family of 4 had a great time.

This was an accessible room; although we did not require one, it was available when we booked our cruise. We were ever so grateful. There was much more room to move around both in the cabin as well as in the bathroom. My 6'2 husband appreciated the extra space. Our 11 & 12 year old children were comfortable enough on the sleeper sofa.

Ship tip

Purchase picture packages the day before the last day of the cruise to avoid crowds; there are usually nice discounts offered, too.

Blue Lagoon Dolphin encounter was a Great experience. We did get bamboozled into taking a taxi to the ferry that departed for the Blue Lagoon excursion. When, in fact, we could have just waited at the pier the cruise ship docked at to take a ferry to the ferry!

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

Kids had a great time at the inflatable center, which was right off the beach in the ocean.
