Review summary

I traveled with a small group of 14 friends and family members, with varying levels of cruising experience.  The experienced cruisers in the bunch had some feedback, but those new to cruising had a great time.  The ship is older and showing some wear and tear in places - carpet seams in my cabin were visible.  Food was pretty good.  Dinner the first night and breakfast in the dining room the first morning were a letdown, but all other meals were pretty good.  We took advantage of the a day pass at the British Colonial Hilton, which was nice.  We didn't get to Nassau until noon, so the beach chairs were in a bit of short supply by the time we got there, but we found a spot and had a nice day.  There were lots of activities on-board the ship, with many for families. The entertainment staff was pretty good, we really enjoyed the games and fun in the Centrum both nights.  We didn't go to the theater shows so I can't comment there.  My biggest complaint would be that the ship seemed very understaffed in the bar areas with lines 5 or 6 people deep and no bar service out on the pool deck unless you went to the bar to get it yourself.  The crowd was pretty young with lots of kids and several bachelor/bachelorette groups on board who were there to party hard all weekend long.   If you are looking for a quick weekend getaway and are ok with an older ship, this is the cruise for you.  We came back refreshed and relaxed, and the general consensus of the group was that the trip was a success!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
A couple of good meals and a couple of misses

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Lots of activities with something for everyone.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We had a lot of fun in the Centrum with some of the song lyric, dance move games and more.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The staff was wonderful and seemed to genuinely want to help. However the ship seemed understaffed in places.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Older ship showing it's age a bit

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We had a junior suite. As an older ship, I think a balcony would probably have been just as good.

I always try to sail on the newer ship in a fleet.  Thanks for posting.  I enjoyed reading your review.
