This was our 12th cruise and probably our last with Royal Caribbean.
We took our daughter and her boyfriend on their first cruise hoping it
would be an excellent experience for them and us. We bought 2 cabins and with the
parking at the pier, incidentals and beverage purchases, we spent about 3,000 for 3
days of being treated rudely like cattle by a disinterested overwhelmed
staff in an overcrowded ship full of rude people with no respect
for personal space or using inside voices. the ship was booked beyond capacity so we really got to have the "cattle experience" there was no peace anywhere, even in the "adult only"solarium pool the foreigners were letting their screaming children run amuck while their parents sat in large groups and spoke non-stop very loudly.
The food on the ship was
the worst that we have had on any ship. The staterooms were in very bad need of refurbishing, and
remodeling. Our mirror had big spots all over it where the backing was worn
away, the trim in the cabin was scuffed and scraped. The entire ship looked
old, tired, boring, and dull! Not anything that I expected from Royal
Caribbean! I would have expected that from a 129.00 per person cruise
on a bottom deck, inside cabin from some small lical unknown cruise line. I am so upset that I wasted our
family vacation money on that cruise. We could have had a really nice time
down in the Keys or in Jamaica for the same amount of money. I am shocked
at how far the quality and value of Royal Caribbean cruises has fallen since the last
time we cruised, which was only 5 years ago and we have cruised with them at least 8 other
times. This was the worst cruise ever. Never again!
