Review Summary

This was our second cruise on the Enchantment of the Seas, the first one being about 7 years ago. Since that time the ship has been extended to accomodate about 150 more staterooms. While the ship itself can handle the extra 300 people, it is obvious that this puts a stress on an excellent food service staff. The food service infrastructure appears to not have been expanded to accomodate the extra passengers. The resultant noise level in the dining facilities was difficult to deal with and the jockeying for tables in the Windjammer buffet area became an exercise in both patience and \"landsharking\". This is unfortunate, as our experience on the first cruise on this ship was above and beyond our expectations. As a result, I can only give the overall experience an \"average\" grade.

Ship Experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food quality was good overall\, and met our expectations. However\, the noise in the formal dining room was quite bad and made having a table conversation difficult.

Royal Caribbean needs to upgrade its entertainment packages. Only one decent movie of note--\"The Hunger Games\". The art auction was\, to be nice about it\, was unprofessional\, especially compared to the auctioneers on our first time on this ship. Royal Caribbean needs to reassess this auctioneering staff--they lacked both knowledge and overall professionalism.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service on this ship was outstanding\, especially the evening dinner wait staff and the housekeeping staff. This continues to be a true strength of Royal Caribbean.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship is too small for the number of passengers now accomodated. Was much more relaxed and quieter before the ship expansion.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The junior suite we had was of excellent quality.

Pros: Outstanding service\, especially wait and housekeeping staff; suite was excellent

Cons: Too crowded since ship extension
