Great Ship

Sail Date: April 16, 2011

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

overall the cruise was wonderful - unfortunately we did not get to visit the locations that we were supposed to.

Pros: The views from the upper decks of nothing but blue ocean

Cons: Listed as a Bahama cruise was more a US port cruise than a Bahama cruise

Recommends Enchantment of the Seas? Yes!

Food and Dining
Would have been nice to have hot food be hot not barely warm - it was beautifully served in the dining room but unfortunately the temperature was a little cold. Portions were of good size.
Ship Quality
Overall the bathrooms stayed clean - we did have a difficult time getting clean towels in the pool area though
Service and Staff
Overall were very pleasant - we had some problems with staff not wanting to serve us the drinks we had paid for with the package plan though.
Would like to have seen more activities or music geared for the 20-30 year olds - lots of programs for the children and the older crowd
Children's Programs
Would liked to have been told in some form of literature about the tweens program when we arrived on the ship - didn't find out about the program until Wednesday and what it involved.
Cabin / Stateroom
My room stayed excptionally clean - Martin kept it well stocked with clean linens and did a great job keeping it clean.
Port Canaveral, Florida
It was a total waste of time - we barely had time to get on shore before we had to leave and be back on the ship. Don't use the Sunways service as they are extremely rude to there customers - the drivers of the buses were nice but the tour guides were rude and didn't uphold what they told us. Said a bus left every 30 minutes - we arrived at 5:00 told us the bus would be avaiable at 5:30 - bus pulled out ten minutes later and even loaded more passengers while we stood there asking about going back to the ship.
Don't Miss: The only thing we found we liked was the restaurant Bruno's or Brano's down the street from Ron Juan's surf shop - awesome meal - 5 adults ate for under 40.00 and even had sodas with there meals
Nassau, Bahamas
11 hours to see a city is ridiculous - we could have skipped the time spent in Port Carnaveral and enjoyed beautiful weather and scenic scenery instead. Shopping was interesting - but we only got to see a tiny portion and only the portion that was about jewelry nothing to do with local talent - definite tourist trap
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
Unfortunately it was more important to stay on the ocean for 5 days out of the 7 we paid to cruise - would have loved to see Cococay - saw it from the ocean as we passed by
