Enchantment of the Seas Cruise Review
We sailed on the Enchantment on their Western tour that left on Easter Sunday. This was our second cruise with RCCL, and enjoyed it very much. I agree with the other review writers in that the check-in leaves you feeling a little like cattle being herded, in fact, we found the San Juan check-in much faster and much more pleasant. We like to make our own fun on the ship, and there is certainly lots of choices to make. The staff was courteous and fun, and we played "one-upmanship" every day with our room steward, Oscar, to see who could make the best creations with pillows, and of course Oscar won!! Our waiter and assistant waiter were both wonderful, and catered to our every need. Comparing this cruise with our last one, which was on the Monarch of the Seas, the one big difference was the food. The food was very good, but not as outstanding as on the Monarch. In addition, most of the entertainment was excellent, but the production number "Sweet Dreams" was not as professional as one would expect on a RCCL Cruise Ship. My favorite entertainer was the surpise of the cruise, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, and it was a very enjoyable performance, and a great "singalong". The ship was fully booked being as it was the week after Easter, and on the days at sea, the pool deck was extremely crowded, although the entertainment staff did a great job keeping everybody happy. All in all, it was a great time on a great cruise line, and we would do it all over again in a heartbeat!!
