Our (4 of us) flight was delayed and we called the ship ahead to let them know. They were not very encouraging and said we could join them at the first port - in 2 days. We called as we were driving to the dock just minutes before the scheduled departure time. Our friends saw us on the dock as they floated away. The ship was no more than 30 feet from the dock when we got out of the car at 5:03. Thanks Royal Caribbean! The first port was in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, two days later. Believe me, you don't want to spend any extra time in Ocho Rios, especially being the only tourist. Very poor, very eager to sell you anything. We spent another $200/each to fly to Montego Bay, another $100 to be driven to the dock and another $70 for a seedy tenament housing project for our first night in Jamaica. We won't be coming back right away.

Went snorkeling near a ship wreck & coral reef. $28 for the excursion which lasted 2 hours. Great value.

Went to Wassi Pottery. Interesting but brief tour. Nice work. About a $20 taxi ride for 2.

Pros: Beautiful ship

Cons: 5 minutes would have had us on the cruise from the beginning.
