5 Night Western Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip)
Sail Date: June 23, 2007
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple

We thought the ship was well maintianed. An excellent cruise director whom help set a fun relaxed tone during the cruise. Stateroom was excellent with plenty of room for two. Please note, that we had the deluxe balcony stateroom. We heard complaints that the interior staterooms were very small. We typically cruise with a balcony stateroom for the larger space. Room service was excellent and room was kept clean and tidy. Dining services were excellent.

Food and Dining

The entrees for all dinners were excellent. We thought the desserts lack in taste and had better on other cruise line. However, they were sufficent. We were dissapionted in the morning sitdown service in the main dining room. It was disorganized and took over ten minutes to sit down and we were the second in line. Accordingly we used, and liked better, the Windjammer cafe for breakfast, it had plenty of selection and the food was good, especially the belgian waffles.

Really good cruise director whom had great ideas for entertainment and plenty of activities aboard the ship. we felt the evening shows were good quality for a cruise ship, not over the top though.

Service and Staff

Staff was extremely helpful in all aspects. Hats off to our waiters, and stateroom staff.

Cabin / Stateroom

Was good size for the balcony stateroom. Plenty of storage space for two people. The sitting area we had was nice. We really enjoyed the room.

Dunn River falls was great, but did not enjoy the "gift shop area" on the way out. It was intimidating and we found the merchants untrustworthy and agressive. Be careful. The falls were beautiful. You must climb the falls to appreciate the beauty. Lots of fun. Dolphin swim was also fun. We had the dolphine give us a kiss, worth the trip if you can swing it. The excursion was a little pricy.
Don't Miss: Dunn River Falls.

Enjoyed the people here. Great shopping. Snorkeling was a little dissappointment. Expected better coral reefs.

Pros: A beautiful ship, maintained well

Cons: Desserts were good, but have had better on other lines
