5 Night Western Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip)
Sail Date: January 29, 2007
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas
Cabin Type: Inside
Traveled As: Couple

This cruise was one that had many 'firsts' for us: first time we drove to the port, first time we've had traditional dining seating, first time cruising on Royal Caribbean. The ship is awesome....our cabin was spacious....good use space to arrange for storage. The food was extra good...the top deck buffet is the best we've ever had...both in presentation and taste. The entertainment was the biggest disappointment. The lounge performers were mediocre at best and only one production show actually made it to the stage. The ship seemed 'dead' between 9 and 10:30 each evening. Crew was good and very helpful. We'd probably not choose to cruise Royal Caribbean again because of the set dining times. Other than that, the cruise was a good value for the dollars spent.

Food and Dining

THe top deck buffet is the best we've ever had on a cruise.....and the dining room choices are good too. Presentation is carefully planned. Didn't try the specialty restaurant.

Cabin / Stateroom

It's amazing what can be done with careful planning! The storage areas in our cabin were exceptional. Our cabin was tastefully decorated....and the location (midship) was jsut what we wanted.

Take the submarine ride. It's worth every penny of the cost. And do your best jewelry-store-comparison shopping here!

Take the trolley tour jsut to get a feel for the area. Then wander on your own. The waterfront is picturesque. O'Malley's is a friendly bar and had a lviely crowd at mid-day.

Pros: the spaciousness of the cabin, the pool and deck areas, the food, both presentation and taste
