Our Dream Vacation

Sail Date: August 05, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was beautiful. There were three pools to choose from with three separate jacuzzi's. There was even an adult pool that we chose to spend most of at sea time at. The casino was large and there were many slots, and table games to choose from each night. There was never a long wait.
The Windjammer had so many food choices each day. The room was so large and comfortable. There was so many activities to choose from for both children and adults. We have two teenagers and they had so much fun with all of the teen activities from savenger hunts, to dances, swimming, the arcade, etc... that we hardly ever saw them. They met so many new friends onboard. My husband and I feltlike we were on vacation without kids. My husband and I enjoyed all of the shows offered on the ship from the bingos to the wonderful entertainment and comedy shows.

Pros: The wonderful service from the Enchantment Crew

Cons: We would have liked to spend a little more time in Jamaica. We had to be on the ship by 4.00, which was a little early. After the excursions, we ran out of time to shop.

Ship Quality
The ship was very clean and comfortable. With the large amount of users, it never felt crowded.
Food and Dining
The food was delicious. There were so many choices every night. Each plate looked like a work of art. The midnight buffet was amazing. The ice carvings and creativity was unbelieveable. The solarium was used so often at night for a slice of pizza, french fries, hotdogs and hamburgers. It was also a fun spot to gather when most of the people on the cruise was asleep.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our statesroom was large and comfortable for the four of us. My husband and I had a king size bed and the boys shared a pull out couch. The balcony was a plus. We were able to look out and see the ship port on each island. The towel animals found in our room every night with chocolate was a real treat.
Service and Staff
The crew could not be any nicer or friendlier. They only wanted to please us 24/7. They always had a smile on their face and did everything possible to make our trip memorable.
There were ample activities for all ages. We attended all of the bingo games and night shows that were offered. The Crayola workshop was fun, the Quest game and the Love and Marriage game. They were so much fun that we are telling our friends at home about them.
Children's Programs
The 12-14 and 15-17 programs are the ones our children attended. They had so much fun doing scavenger hunts, swimming games, the arcade, dancing etc... that were hardly saw them except for dinner and bed time. We felt like the kid were very safe on the ship.
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
We enjoyed Dunns River Falls, The Brimmer Plantation tour and Dolphin cove where we had a Jamaican style lunch. We saw how bananas, pineapple, breadfruit and a red fruit from Jamaica is grown.
Don't Miss: Plantation tour, Dunns River Falls
George Town, Grand Cayman
We definately recommend that you see 5 mile beach, turtle farm, hell and swim with the stingrays. We also went parasailing which was a little risky but fun.
Don't Miss: Swim with the stingrays
