Take you two bottles of wine or champagne they allow along with you.
Little ship with a big heart
İ didn't do any research about the excursions will do next time .... will sail again
like Royal Caribbean but may not go with empress of the seas or recommend .
Bring a lot of extra money for unexpected fees
it's a small ship with less amenities than the bigger ship, nice change of pace
make sure you have have a good credit card
make sure you get to the pool early because there will be no spaced you get there anytime after 930 am
If your requiring some R & R this small ship is your best bet for Royal Caribbean.
Very enjoyable cruise!
Smallest ship with the biggest heart! Wouldn't hesitate to sail again on Empress. Not sure that there would be enough activity for a 7-10 day cruise but for the 4 night it was perfect.
This is not a big ship. It’s a great ship but not a big ship. If you are used to a big ship understand that this ship has lots of things like a big ship just not the size and scale you may be used to.
I will not choose that ship again, it’s too small and you really feel the motion.
Old and small but a good cruise to relax and enjoy.
If you are ready to just relax this ship is for you. They have hammocks on the top deck which I had never seen before. Night activities are excellent. My last cruise was on the Oasis. The two ships are very different. If you need lots of different spaces this is not the ship for you. If you like quaint, easy to get around and smaller crowds in general book now.
Because we usually book a balcony room, and couldn't get one this time as to the limited number, we brought a small fan with us so that we could feel air movement. We were are bit worried we would feel claustrophobic but that did not happen. There is actually quite bit of space in the room. The bed was comfy - overall great experience.
Go in with the mindset that it is an old ship and you are going to have to make the most of it. If this is your first cruise do not think they all are the same.
If you want to visit Cuba on a cruise, this is your only choice. Now that I have been to Cuba, this will be my last time on this ship because of the age and size. The good thing was the entertainment and the staff.
Don't but the drink package it is way overpriced.
Don't expect to buy items at a good price either on the ship or in the ports. There are no bargains to be found.
