Little ship with a big heart
İ didn't do any research about the excursions will do next time .... will sail again
like Royal Caribbean but may not go with empress of the seas or recommend .
Just go and experience it yourself many liked the ships small size
Expect very small rooms and bathrooms.
Talk to everyone!
Small ship, small pool. But, lots of activities and great entertainment director
This ship would be ideal for someone who has never cruise before.
Eat all meals in the windjammer. Get your spot on the pool deck early - most people save deck chairs so you might as well too. Watch the sunrise from the aft of the ship on deck. Go into the windjammer from the pool on the left side - everyone goes in from the right but the left was always empty.
I took this ship to Cuba and was told I had to have a Suite excursion in order to leave the ship they were over priced and boring. But that was not sure a lot of passengers left the ship to explore Cuba on their own, I did not get to experience Cuba and their culture, but I was stuck on their boring excursion.
Stay on 9th floor if you want to disembark first on off shore excursions.
If you are about to take this 5 day cruise, lucky you, it’s wonderful.
It is a smaller, older ship so don't expect all the fancy and newest things but the wonderful crew makes up for all of that!!
Staterooms are very small - of course it's a very small ship. Opt for a Junior Suite or better if you need some turning room in your cabin.
Very Nice Small Older Ship
Empress is a small ship, but the comedian, magician and show was fun.
We took a small fan to improve air flow in our cabin. Get to the pool early for a chair. Return your pool towel and make sure they don't charge your room for it. The food in the Starlight Lounge on the LAST DAY was AWESOME! Brunch and Dinner...don't miss it!
This ship doesn't have all the offerings of some of the larger ships, but I enjoyed it just the same. It was enough for me and my family and we would do it again. We traveled with a seven-year-old and five-year-old and they enjoyed every minute.
Again as it is a small ship peope go early in the morning to reserve pool chairs by leaving a towell on it which is supposed not to be permitted. They sometime come back only around 11:00 in the morning. As there is not enough pool chairs for all the people it was kind of frustrating. They only applied their no reserving policy on the second day at sea. Also I broke my wheel chair on the big joint at the theater. It is very rough.
