Beating Irma

Our cruise was cut short by Irma but RC gave us the opportunity to stay on the ship and head back out to sea. We were even given a partial refund. We stayed for an additional 3 days and loved every minute! They are our #1 cruise company now!

Fantastic Cruise

The ship is beautiful and well kept. It is clean and in good shape. The food on board is beyond delicious. The chefs do an excellent job at making sure the food is beautifully presented and brought to the table hot. The buffet is a great room with windows all around to afford a view of the sea. The food is very good and there is plenty of it. The waiters will bring drinks to the table for you. There are so many activities on board to keep you busy and entertained and the entertainment is always top notch.

I had a great time and got some great memories. wanted to do this survey to say how great it was but this box should not require 150 characters before it lets you submit. Also I didn't have any kids but it won't let you skip that question or ports I didn't go out on. Now I'm slightly dissatisfied.

Worst cruise ever

Verified Review

I did not enjoy this cruise I found there was hardly any choice for me to eat as I'm a vegetarian. There was all kinds of meat dishes even the macaroni had ham in it. Plus Royal Carribbean told my husband that we had to have an excursion booked to be able to go into Havanna this was not the case. Other people said they were told the same thing. The excursion we went on was terrible. We drove around on the bus way too fast so you couldn't see anything. We spend far too much time in a cemetery. Then on to a fort that was closed so we were crushed in a small room to buy cigars. This process took far too long. The tour guide forgot our vouchers so we stood around in the hot sun. They took off leaving people behind so we had to go back for them. Waiting around for people in the hot sun was terrible. In the end we ditched the tour and looked for something else to do. In order to see Havanna we hired a private tour in one of the old cars. I've already told lots of people I know not to take a tour with Royal Carribbean just organize their own tour.

Don't expect much

Besides the ports, there was nothing spectacular about the EotS. The food and staff were the best parts of the ship. I can see why this ship was retired. They may have updated some things, but it's still outdated.

Old Boat, Great Destination

This is a great destination but not the best ship. It is small and old and it shows. Not a lot to do onboard. 3 days spent in port so not too much down time. Experienced cruisers will want more.

Nice Short Adventure

For a quick get a way, this five day cruise is good. If you don't mind being on a smaller and older ship, you will enjoy it not being so very crowded as on larger ships. The entertainment and activities are good and well orchestrated by the staff. Everyone encountered were polite, professional and worked really hard to make your cruising experience a good one.

Wonderful Excursion

Cuba is a new horizon and we were very excited to go to Havana. I was extremely pleased with all the homework I did before the cruise. Recommend people watch YOU TUBE on Havana. Our 7 hour Private tour (havanamemories.jimdo.com) was the best, especially in talking with others that took Ship tours. The timetables were packed with everything you could possible want to do. The entertainment filled the evening void. A little concern about pool area where the "no saving chair" policy was not enforced. Too many errant children running throughout the ship, especially the pool and dining room areas. Also noted that the smoking area was really annoying. One cigar and the whole area stunk! Its not a perfect world, and overall we did truly enjoy the cruise. The seas were smooth and the weather was wonderful.

Disappointed in Royal Caribbean

Would go to Cuba again, just not on Royal Caribbean. I know there are other cruise companies that I am familiar with and they don't have most of my concerns with Royal Caribbean. Enjoy the old cars in Cuba and take the air conditioned bus tour but get other tours once you are off the ship. You can go to the Tropicana for much less than the ship charges and old cars are available for a fraction of what the ship charges.

Nice ship, good food, but wish the pool had been larger. Too small! Havana was the highlight of the trip. Our stateroom was just right for us, and kept clean by the staff.

Great experience

The cruise was great. Key West I've been there before but Havana, that was another story. Great city. Amazing and friendly people. If you go with open mind and without expectations is a great place to visit. We reserved fro next year.

Only thing I noticed that concerned me was the crew. They gave a great service as usual, but looked very tired and at points I believe they were unhappy. This was sad.

Havana & Key West Review

Verified Review

It was very interesting to travel to Cuba and see Havana and meet some of the people. Probably only a small on Americans will get to go and experience this. Royal Caribbean was adequate and overall did a good job. Whereas they provided good service I think the line overall is mid range in the industry. I have sailed Holland America many times and feed that they ars a class act and overshadow RC. Oversall RC provided a fine service but is a step below in elligiance commitment and that extra touch. I think both lines know their markets well and provide commerence service ,facilities ,entertainment and quality.
