Review summary

Ir was bad and we (my family too) are very sad: -Dirty bed sheets and towels (blood stains) -Dirty bathrooms -Hallways smell like sewer -Dirty elevators -Port cancelation last minute -Close Buffett 30 minutes before time -Employees saying they don’t like working here and not coming back -Late start to several events and even one show was canceled! -Pictures leaving before time to go -Employees eating at cafe making lines too long and food to run out

You need to get rid of this ship! No more trips to Cuba, you/WE don’t need this old cruise without: slides, pools (only one!), basketball court, soccer court, without anything to do except bingos and trivias!

If you don’t weigh less than 100 pounds, you probably won’t fit! Small cabin ever!

Don’t take this cruise! You won’t have anything to do! I’ve been in 10 cruises and this...I can’t even compare!

Ready to forget about this horrible Empress of the Sea cruise! Even the employees hate it. They didn’t want to work there and I don’t blame them...

Sounds like someone woke up on the wrong side of the cruise. One bad event caused the whole cruise to go down hill for you. 1. you can not compare cruises, each ship has it own personality. So once you start to compare now against the past you are finished. 2. What ever the problem you encounter you must report it in writing to the cruise Hotel Director forthwith so you can get on with your vacation in peace. With that said I'm guessing you didn't do any homework before boarding this ship. I am do to cruise on it this September 1st and am looking forward to it. Happy cruising to all!

Cruising or any vacation is all of what you make of it. I will be in this ship soon and can’t wait. Been on many cruises and though not all perfect I always had an amazing time no matter what. Life isn’t perfect enjoy every bit, stop the complaining and be thankful for the opportunity. Why be miserable in something that I’m sure wasn’t that bad. 10 other cruises, so obviously you like to cruise. I’ve topped that by far and still to this day have I ever came back with such negativity. The staff on smaller ships are by far the nicest people and have not met anyone saying how they hate there jobs. Even if so, many people hate there jobs on land. Again you determine your cruise outcome enjoyment not the cruise itself. It’s also not the fault of RC because they missed Puerto Rico, thank them for not putting you in what could have been in harms way. There were protest going on. The port they took you to was an amazing little island. All I’m saying is don’t expect perfect unfortunately that’s not how life works.

Sounds like cruising isn’t for you. Most love it, but it’s not for everyone. I’ve never found anything to be all bad as you experienced. People must have amazing jobs and lives at home for them to feel so miserable on a cruise, even though it may not be perfect.
