Food in the Windjammer Cafe was AWESOME!

Room Type: Inside

Even though the Empress is a small ship compared to the other RC ships, it was very clean, inside and out.  I have been on 14 cruises with RC and the food in the Windjammer Cafe was extremely good and very similar to the food I had in Europe with RC.  The boarding/departing was extremely fast!  The itinerary was a little confusing unless there was a reason we couldn't stop at Coco Cay (RC private island) and we sat on the ocean ALL DAY on Saturday and then only spent 8 hours in Nassau starting at 730am in the morning to 430pm in the afternoon, on a Sunday when most of all the downtown stores were closed.  That wasn't  a big issue for me being that I go to the Bahamas at least once a year but a first-time cruiser would have been disappointed in the short stay in Nassau.  Junkanoo Beach around the corner from the cruise terminal is also a great place to go swim.

Again, smaller ship, so room was small but updated.

Tip

Eat in the Windjammer Cafe and skip the nightly dinners in the dining rooms.
