Although this is a smaller and older ship, it was updated last year, and it looks beautiful. We embarked out of Philadelphia, which was smooth, the drills were smooth, and our luggage handling was speedy. The food was GREAT!!! Our wait staff and our dinner partners were the hilites of the days. The buffets were also very appetizing. The ship was very very clean!!!! THe entertainment was wonderful. WE laughed everynite. We danced everynite. We played hi stakes BINGO every day... THere is something for everyone, and for a sold out ship... it never seemed crowded. This was such a great great time.

Pros: The crew was amazing!!!! They really made our trip worthwhile

Cons: The timing of the entertainment some nites were chalening to get to with late dinner seating.

Recommends Empress of the Seas (RETIRED) 223? Yes!
