Our family of 6 (complete with in-laws) were very pleased with our Christmas vacation aboard the Nordic Empress. Our decision to leave the concerns of shopping for presents, meal prep and clean-up and take our first cruise on this ship was the right decision. The Nordic Empress was the perfect choice as the took care of everything....the food was excellent and plentiful...the services of the staff were timely and courteous. Our "ninja-like" cabin attendant serviced our cabin with the care of a five star hotel (we had one of the cheapest cabins on the boat) with turn down service, linen and freshtowels, mints, fruits and his handy work with "towel art" as he made monkeys, Christmas trees, swans and the such as we returned from dinner each night. I can't imagine better treatment anywhere. The care and cleanliness of the ship were topnotch...we went with concerns of "sick ship" syndrome but those were qickly put aside as we saw the staff always cleaning and wiping down common areas and handrails. The entertainment provided had something for everyone..comedy, shows with dancing, magic and fun and were top quality.
