Ship: Empress of the Seas (RETIRED) 223 Reviewed: 7 years ago
This was my fourth cruise, first on Royal, and it was great. Embarkation was more tedious than other ships, but the disembarkation was made easier allowing passengers to choose any public area. Food service and staff were EXCELLENT! Thought buffet selection could have been more varied (but still was very good) and especially the beverage selection, since I don't drink ice tea or apple juice - a diet lemonade or something other than water would have been nice. Room was very nice and ShipShape program is a must do! Excursions are very expensive compared to other cruise lines, go on your own if you can. The passengers on this trip were AWESOME!!! Made many, many friends with crew and guests. You'll enjoy this cruise . . . Maria.
