Ship: Empress of the Seas (RETIRED) 223 Reviewed: 7 years ago
We sailed on the Pacific Princess to Bermuda on July 2, 2000. We weren't sure what to expect because the ship is almost 30 years old. Well were we pleasantly surprised! We left our home on Long Island and within one hour we were on the ship and eating lunch in the dining room! It was the first time in our cruise experience that we did not wait for at least an hour or two to board the ship. Things only got better after that. All of the Princess staff from the captain on down to the deck attendants were so polite, friendly and helpful and always had a smile. The food was exceptional and plentiful and the service was beyond compare. The original "Love Boat" is a beautiful ship and is well maintained and immaculate. I cannot say enough about our experience with this ship and the Princess Cruise Line. They really go out of their way to please their passengers. The shows and costumes were very professional and entertaining. We did not want to get off this ship! We are planning to book another cruise for next summer.
