Really nice cruise

Sail Date: January 14, 2008

Reviewed: 8 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

We cruised on this ship 2 years ago and since then it seems not much attention is being paid to the Windjammer Cafe..the chairs and tables were filthy...food was encrusted in the chairs....very unhealthy and unsanitary. We refused to eat there and instead ate in the Carmen dining room every time it was open.

Pros: the length of the cruise, the ports and the food was perfect

Cons: the ships Windjammer buffet was not very clean, matter of face unsanitary

Recommends Empress of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
Very small stateroom, but expected in the class we chose.
stopped up drain, both the sink and shower... repaired very quickly i must admit
Service and Staff
The Waiter and assistant Waiter were fantastic, I've never had such personal attention paid to us before.... Professional, friendly and knowledgable.
