Fun Had By All

Sail Date: June 01, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Inside

The ship was small but had plenty to do and see. We didn't mind the smallness of the ship. It was a nice ship and nicely decorated. Easy to get around to everything. The pool is small, but we only get in to cool off. How ever, there are signs up about not saving chairs. It is ridiculous that people place their items in the chairs and then disappear for hours and I mean hours. Then they come back to find someone has moved their stuff over and they want to say they were only gone for a few minutes when they know they are flat out lying. That needs to be taken care of.

Pros: The people working on board

Cons: the small room

Recommends Empress of the Seas (RETIRED)? Yes!

Cabin / Stateroom
The room and bathroom was way too small. It was hard to move around in when trying to get dressed or take showers. The walls are also paper thin. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was clean and stocked. Location was fine.
Ship Quality
The layout was nice. The ship was always clean. Elevators were slow, but the ship is small enough and easy enough to get around that you can take the stairs.
Food and Dining
We ate a lot in the Windjammer. Nice people, atmosphere, and good food. Loved being able to eat when we wanted to eat and not having to change our clothes just to eat. It is a vacation and you are suppose to be relaxed. We liked the Carmen and the food, but did not like the late seating of 8:30 PM
Service and Staff
I can not say enough about the staff. They were all fantastic! Everyone we met were so nice and friendly. They are all very hard workers. It was great meeting so many from so many different countries. I will miss every one of them.
Lots of entertainment and activities. We never had a dull moment. There is something to do all or see all of the time.
