We were very impressed with the Empress of the Seas. It was very well kept and immaculately clean. The housekeeping service was wonderful, everything shined. We enjoyed dining in the dining room with a wonderful waiter and assistant waiter. They were just great and very charming, made us feel like royalty. I wish I could have taken them home with me and miss them already. The shows were very entertaining. We did not miss one of them. Even though the ship was older it was very elegant and we would not hesitate to sail on it again.

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food and restaurants were the best. There was always plenty of food in the Windjammer restaurant all day long. The main dining room was very pretty and had a lot of atmosphere. The staff as I said earlier were just superb. Our assistant waiter in particular was a real charmer and made us all feel so special. The food was delicious and everything was presented very elegantly.

5 out of 5
There were so many acitivities every day that it was hard to keep up with everything. They were very enjoyable.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was the best, very friendly and very accommodating. I was very impressed as to how hard they worked. They could not have been better.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything on the ship was very easy to access. The public areas were very well kept and very clean. It only took one day to know where everything was lcoated.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Our stateroom was small, 117 sq. feet but it was very adequate and comfortable. It was located in the aft of the ship and it was very quiet, no outside noises which made for very restful sleeping.

Pros: The service and friendliness of the crew. They were so helpful and treated us like royalty.

Cons: Only the fact that we did not get to Bermuda but that was not the fault of the cruise ship. It was because of the hurricane Florence that changed our course.
