El Convento Hotel in Old San Juan is a wonderful place to stay before going on a cruise. It's elegant, and has charm, and class. Security is great. The only downside was the internet. The computer in the library had 111 unsent messages stored. I notified the staff, but I don't know if they did anything about it.

Royal Caribbean's Empress of the Sea is a good ship. The staff was great. The ship is well cared for.

The rooms on this ship are small but nice. Suitcases had to go under the bed.

Beautiful beach. Expensive. $10 = umbreller $8 = lounge chair rentals

Great beach at the end of the Island. Too many vendors. People near us on the beach had their money $280.00 stolen from their beach bag.

Orient Beach was nice.

Turtle beach had cow, and goat dung on it. There was a goat tied to a tree within arms reach from our chairs. Loads of seaweed on the beach. A large hog strolled down into the water to cool itself.
Don't Miss: Don't miss the broken lounge chairs on the beach.

Pros: The ship, the hotel, the beaches.

Cons: Turtle Beach, St. Kitts
