2nd Princess cruise

Sail Date: December 27, 2015

Reviewed: 11 months ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

This was our second Princess cruise. Last year, we went on Ruby Princess for 7 days. The ships are nearly identical, with the exception being the new "Share" concept restaurant on Emerald Princess.

The dining room staff continues to be exceptional. Would give them 5 stars.

The only detraction yielding an overall rating of 4 stars is the room amenities. We booked 2 Baja-level balcony rooms for our family of 6. Everyone complained about the quality of the bed sheets and room towels. It appears Princess is upgrading them by April 2016.

With respect to excursions, we enjoyed the horseback riding on Grand Turk, the kayak/snorkel/hike on St. Thomas, and the train ride on St Kitts/Nevis. The beach day on Antigua was formulaic, though the provided lunch was above average for quality and quantity.

The ship never feels crowded, though it's at capacity.

We will happily cruise again on Princess!
