Review summary
First Princess cruise. The staff was excellent... We were greeted with a smile and a good morning by all staff members. We were pleased with the activities on board the ship as well. Lots of stuff to do. The destinations were ones we had visited before, so not much to say there. Three areas the ship needs improvement on... First... The food was only so so... We ate in the dinning room 3/4 nights. Some of the dishes were just too bland. Our one night in the Steak house was beyond excellent. The Second is the entertainment. There was a lot to do, but the shows were lacking. Some other cruise lines we have been on, we really enjoyed the nightly shows and looked forward to them. With the exception of one comedian, the other shows were totally missable. And lastly, we booked balcony room. And while the Balcony itself was large the room was BY FAR the smallest we have been in. All other cruise lines we have been on had at least a couch to sit on. This had a desk, and small chair. My wife and I had to take turns using the bed to pack/unpack and lay out clothes. Get rid of the desk, and put a small couch in it. My brother got a mini suite upgrade, and his room was the size of the other rooms we had on other ships.
We would cruise Princess again...It was nice that the average age was 40ish... Some kids, but not a lot. And not too many old pax, as I was concerned it was an older cruise crowd...
