Total Disappointment on a 10 Day Cruise

Sail Date: October 29, 2011

Reviewed: 5 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Passenger Service - non-existant, post Customer service - rude, abrupt and also non-existant. Ltr submitted to the President & CEO of Princess Cruise Lines following cruise.

Pros: Great service from cabin and dining personnel

Cons: Total lack of support from on-board passenger service regarding adjoining cabin cigar smoke for the entire 10 day cruise

Recommends Emerald Princess? No.

Ship Quality
Non smoking rooms do not exist on Princess. There is a lack of on board deck chairs on Deck 7.
Average........with the exception of the BEATLE MANIACS, were EXCELLENT.
Food and Dining
Most meals were wonderful. The service was superb. The fish entrees on the ship were no better than cat food.
Cabin / Stateroom
The ship steward provided wonderful service. The mattress in the stateroom was substandard, hard, lumpy and was not up to most other cruise lines.
Service and Staff
The cabin steward , the table attendants and the matre' d were superb. However our problems with the Passenger Service Officer and Desk personnel went unanswered for 10 days.
