Disappointing cruise

Sail Date: January 01, 2008

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

We sailed on Jan 15, 2008 and had chosen a balcony room which was very comfortable and had a great attendant. Very disappointed in quality and preparation of the food. Also, food availablity for morning room service was very limited. Ship is too big and crowded at some venues and difficult to navigate. Paying for ice cream is pushing the "nickel and dime" envelope. Would prefer to tip the service staff rather than have $10.50 charged for each person( we gave our room attendant extra money for his service) Expected better overall experience considering the price we paid. Do not recommend.

Pros: Stateroom attendant was excellent and room very comfortable

Cons: poorly prepared food, ship too large, & crowded, anytime dining service not good, had to pay for ice cream, ship rocked constantly

Recommends Emerald Princess? No.
