Review SummaryThis trip was to celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary with friends. We sailed on the sixth sailing. Our first time to Europe and on a Princess ship. Beautiful! Trip over via Austrian Airlines was very good, treated well. Transfer to ship and check in was easy. Staterooms smaller than expected since we paid extra for upgrade to back of ship. Good storage in stateroom. Internet service did not work for a couple days when we got on ship. Pursers office did let us make one phone call home. But still very slow to use and very expensive after not being able to get through, still charged. Buffet not all that great! We enjoyed dining rooms except they were not open for very long. Days when we had to leave early for shore excursions had to go to buffet. Did not like entertainment in theater, too suggestive! Shore excursions were good but long days. Transfers to hotel in Barcelona was not organizied well. Not enough room on bus for bags to go with us. Transfers to airport next morning was a joke. Did not pick us up at given time, so had to get hotel manager to get taxi. Did not take us to correct terminal, had to walk long way to correct one. Going through security at Barcelona airport was not a good experience. Missed connections in Miami due to mechanical problems. Other than that trip home it was a good one.
Pros: All the historical sites
Cons: The transfers to hotel & airport.
