Disney's Alaskan Cruise by bargmannj

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

I loved the activities on board the ship. They were geared to all ages and the activities crew was fantastic. The accommodations were nice and worked well for the three of us. The good was good and the wait staff was attentive. We visited Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan.  We saw glaciers and had beautiful weather.   My grandson who is 16 had a great time and is ready to plan our next cruise soon.

By far my favorite cruise... by DashaJo

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Wonder

By far my favorite cruise I have ever been on. I am a die hard Disney fan and this was my third Disney Cruise. There was not a time a day where I wasn’t smiling. People think Disney is just for kids, however, there are so many areas through out the ship where you won’t see kids. But on the plus side, who also doesn’t like feeling like a kid again.

Cruise the Disney Wonder to Alaska by Muirytroon

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

The Disney Wonder is a beautiful ship and the crew certainly embodies the Disney culture of completely delighting its guests. We enjoyed a memorable Alaskan cruise, made even better with perfect weather which is apparently a rarity in Alaska.

Definitely reserve your port adventures through Disney.

They do a wonderful job of coordinating with the independent tour operators. On every tour we took, the tour leaders made a point to mention how much they liked working with Disney and their guests. If you enjoy nature in its purest form, don't miss the Eagle Preserve Wildlife Adventure offered at the Skagway stop--a wonderful journey  by jet boat on the Chilkat River. Our guide, Greg, was so interesting and knowledgeable. Cheryl drove us from the dock in Haines to the river adventure and gave us great incite into life in Alaska.

Our dining crew, Jorge, Sarah and Salomie were excellent and fun and the food was very well prepared and presented in the dining rooms. Palo is a very special treat, again with excellent service and food. The buffet in Cabanas is also well prepared, with lots of offerings, including many healthy choices.

Our stateroom was very comfortable and immaculately clean. There are a fair number of onboard activities for adults, but after a full day of excursions we were happy to relax in the comfort of our stateroom after our second seating dinner.

We are a 64 year old retired couple and we thoroughly enjoyed this Disney adventure and would not hesitate to do it again.

Even fun for adults! by jazzbasket233

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

I loved many things about my Disney Wonder cruise. The fact that it is "Disney" was great. Everyone was happy from staff to guests. You would think there would be lots of children running around, but it wasn't like that at all. My group didn't have any kids with them and we didn't see them much. Only if you went to dinner or through the kids areas to get to adult activities. There were a lot of adult activities, but it would be great if they added even more! Wonderful spa experience too! Would be nice if they would provide complimentary sauna/steam room, etc. for those spending over a certain amount. The ship was very clean and they had everyone take a cleansing wipe before they went into dining and other areas around the ship. There were always staff sanitizing everything, emptying and cleaning the pools, etc. I would definitely recommend this cruise to adults without children as well as those with children. If you don't want to be among kids, you will figure out the best way to do that.

Trip of a lifetime! by DisneyLady52

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

This was my 11th Disney cruise and 13th cruise.  It was such a surprise and honor to be onboard for the first cruise ship to go through the new locks at Panama Canal.  The day going through the canal couldn't have been even better.  The weather was wonderful and the experience could not be repeated.  One of the of live Broadway type shows on the ship was "Frozen" and it was beyond fantastic and is a must see!  The only negative was the port stop at Cartehena, Columbia.  There were two other cruise ships in at the same time and the crowds on the Old City Tour were terrible.  There was hardly room to turn around in places and it was very humid that day.  I don't think the city was prepared for that many people at the same time.

Disney Magic by KNewville

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

Disney Cruise Line staff can not be topped.  Very enjoyable cruise through the new locks of the Panama Canal.  The Panama Canal, one of the seven modern wonders, is a testament to will power and engineering ingenuity and should not be missed by those who like to see how things work.

WONDERful Experience by brandiecole

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Disney has done an amazing job with this ship. The dining staff and food were excellent.  Tiana's place was our Favorite  restaurant.  The live music and party was Awesome!! My kids  LOVED the Oceaneer's club. The nightly entertainment was excellent.  We loved dressing up for pirate night. Only drawback is that I felt like we needed more time to do all the activities. We will take a longer cruise next time.

Disney Wonder by ronbrooks519

The staff greets you with a smile, and they treated my son with excellent service.  And when the staff learns your family name, they greet you with your name and asking you how was your day.  Each staff member care about making your day the best day that you have had or will try to make it right for you if something went wrong.

Had a wonderful time with family and all the Disney charaters by gmama55

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Where do I begin! First trip for all of us together and it was truly a memorable experience. The staff was beyond excellent and very friendly. From the food each day to our room spotless very time we came back to it.

This was a very well planned and organized activities each day and night. I was so filled with joy to see how the kids laughed and enjoyed all of the shows and movies.

I wish it has not rained and was cloudy the day on Castaway Island but we still had a great time.

Thanks again for everything!

Disney Wonder Cruise without children by glenmore

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

we booked onto the three night cruise out of port canaveral on the Disney Wonder ship. I did worry as it's Disney, and we were booking without children...

I had been told that the cruise was just as good for adults as for families.. and how right they were.. from the moment we got into the building ready to board, we picked up on the efficiency of the cruise line... Once on the ship, wow... the emotions hit.. it is a beautiful ship.

Our room was a double with a sea view, and it was very spacious with plenty of cupboard space.. I liked the idea of a separate bath/shower to the toilet.

The food was amazing, even more so for me as I'm gluten and lactose intolerant.. nothing was any trouble.

The adult pool pool was a good size with two hot tubs, bar with waiter service and at certain times, fantastic entertainment from a great singer.  We did join the families for the sail away party.. great fun..

The shows were out of this world, I was engrossed, they might have been Disney themed, but the best shows I have ever seen.. From the actors to the production, it was faultless.

Entertainment offered in one of the pubs.. really enjoyed the 80's music quiz.. and the couples quiz in a different club..

We stayed on the ship at Nassau, as we just wanted to chill by the pool, but got off and really enjoyed Castaway Cey.. A beautiful island..

considering my husband had concerns booking this short cruise, he now feels he would love to do a longer cruise with DCL..

All day and all night pampering. Actually took me a half day and 2 " Don't worry about that, you're on vacation", until I truly got in the swing. Took a few day to readjust to reality. We CAN'T wait until out next one!

First time cruiser by tabeb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Wonder / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Booked Disney cruise for our very first cruise, did not disappoint. Kudos to all the crew member, from the person who clean our room twice a day, wait staff, servers and just everybody , they were marvelous. I'm a picky traveler,  and my experience exceeded all my expectation (in the cruise ship, not impressed with the atlantis tour).
