Overall, the staff was terrific on this sailing. Clayton and Anthony were two of the best and really made the cruise fun for everyone. The activities were definitely better and abundant compared to the Eastbound Transatlantic in May 2015. I never felt bored. I traveled with two children ages 10 and 13. I always book cruises based on itinerary, but in the future I will also look at cruise staff for last minute bookings. I have been on another cruise with Clayton and Anthony, Halloween on the High Seas, on the Disney Fantasy 2014. Again, an abundance of activities and fun throughout the entire cruise. That was my son's favorite cruise of all times and I am convinced it is because Clayton was the cruise director for that one as well. This team was incredible.

Food is so different for everyone, but I don't love the food on Disney Cruise Line in general. I do like the big soft pretzels and at dinner I mainly ask for chicken caesar salad. Even when it wasn't on the menu, they brought it to me. Which was very nice of the servers :)
Onboard Activities

The Hawaiian cruise had a lot more activities than the first Norway cruise 6/6. There were many more activities geared toward the Hawaiian culture. We had hula lessons, ukelele lessons, history of Hawaiian culture and lei making lessons. Along with all the games, trivia, animation classes, and character parties that make Disney stand out.

My kids had a great time, but they loved the counselors for the Edge on every other ship, (Magic, Fantasy, and Dream) better than the Wonder. The Edge counselors were fine, but they preferred all the other ship counselors.

We had good service throughout the cruise with our dinning team as well as our stateroom host. My understanding is that Disney did not open the 3rd restaurant for 2nd seating at dinner. I had first seating, but there were a lot of complaints that 2nd seating was too crowded and very slow service due to the overflow of people.

This was the first time we did not have a balcony. We had an oceanview cabin on the 6th floor. It was ok, although my 10yo commented that she would have preferred the balcony, 1 adult and 2 tweens fit fine in that space. I am not sure I would squeeze 4 people into the room, but it worked well for my party of 3.
Disney had a free shuttle to the Mall and from there, you could catch a bus direct to Lahaina. Jumping in a cab will cost you $75 each way, but the bus was $2 per person and did not take much longer than the taxi. Just make sure you have exact change for the bus. Again, skip the over price Disney excursion and book an excursion once you get to Lahaina.
If you planned a helicopter tour, have a back up excursion to book last minute in case of rain. It is one of the rainiest islands of Hawaii. Also, call to confirm the helicopter tour before you jump in a taxi to head to the airport. The helicopter tours are not great about letting customers know that day whether they are able to fly.
I booked a private photo tour. We loved the tour guide and he was great with my tweens. However, it is more expensive than the website prices. My tour was suppose to be $439 for 2 people plus and extra $75 for the 3rd person. I was charged $570 total. Great tour company, but make sure you confirm the price ahead of time.
