Our cruise was actually very disappointing for one reason. We did not get to go to the Disney Island because of the weather. The ship could not dock. They tried for 2 days over and over. It was heartbreaking for my 14 and 16 year old daughters. If you are not in to the characters there really is not much to do during the day. There is no pool for teens. Since it was so cool no one was in the adult pool and hot tub. We asked if our girls could use the hot-tub with us but it was strictly for adults. They sat in the room and watched Tv while we got in the hot tub for an hour trying to enjoy ourselves the last day. I guess we looked at the cruise as a way to get to the islands. When we did not get to the disney island, where the ship from the Pirates of the Caribbean movie was. This totally ruined our vacation. Two straight days on the ship was unbearable. My girls watched lots of movies (that they had seen before) and sat in chairs on the deck with towels wrapped around them because it was pretty cool and very windy the whole time we were on the ship. We shopped everyday but there are only 2 stores and it was the same "stuff" everyday. This was our first cruise and we will probably never cruise again. It was just a very disappointing experience for us. Who would have thought in April the weather would have been so cool and windy. We never dreamed we would end up not going to the Disney Island.

Food and Dining

Food was very good but very fancy. I was actually very surprised how fancy it was for a cruise that really has so many children on it. Our girls were 14 and 16 and they liked very little of it. It was so much food to eat we actually dreaded going to eat. We were made to feel like we had to order all 4 courses every night, which was way too much to eat. We want on this cruise hoping that it did not center around so much on the food like most cruises. I guess we are not big eaters.

We visited Atlantis and it was breathtaking. All very large slides, which we loved. I am not sure it was ideal for younger children. The only thing about spending the day at Atlantis you really don't get to see much of the island. They did have a beautiful beach though. Shopping at Atlantis was really nice but really expensive. Shopping in town closes at 5 pm.

Pros: all staff were very nice and helpful

Recommends Disney Wonder? No.
