Exciting Family Vacation

Sail Date: September 06, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Suite

We had the opportunity to stay in a 2 bedroom suite while I also had two one bedroom suites for family. In total we had seven rooms. The concierge level that came with the suites was fantastic and well worth the extra monies. This was extended to each of the staterooms and all passengers. Overall Disney does a great job in taking care of the guest and did not fail our party. From the 3 year old to the 65+ year old everyone had activities and fun attuned to their level of interest.

Pros: Simplicity in booking provided by BJ's

Cons: The lightening stike and injuries resulting during an excursion

Recommends Disney Wonder? Yes!

Ship Quality
The ship set sail in 1999 and does show signs of use. Their was no issues with maintenance or cleanliness of the vessel.
Food and Dining
The rotation through the dining rooms was a great concept and gave us the ability to see each in turn.
Cabin / Stateroom
The suites were wonderful and staterooms ok in comparison.
Service and Staff
We were spoiled at the Concierge level and cannot imagine not having this little extra service. From having a personal escort to take us on ship to having each special activity (shore excursions, spa and beauty treatments, children activities, and dining) meet us in a special reception was exceptional.
The fireworks display was great and the children in our party were exicted to see this at sea. Also the nighlty movies on deck (like a drive in with a large screen) were enjoyed by most of the group.
Children's Programs
Disney is masterful at entertainment of children.
Nassau, Bahamas
We had a shore excursion for part of our group to go on a caterman and snorkel. During the trip out the catermaran was stuck by lightening and three of the group were burned. The other excursions went well and I heard no complaints.
Don't Miss: NOT the glass bottom boat ride!
Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)
The beach was great. This was the best relaxing time of the trip!
