Our Disney Experience

Sail Date: July 01, 2006

Reviewed: 10 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Balcony

The Disney Wonder was a wonder. The decorations, the chatacter meetings, the photo opportunities were above our expectations.

Pros: The shows, the diningroom experience and kid programming was way above expectations.

Cons: I did not like our stop in Nasau. They were friendly but very pushy. I don't handle that very well.

Ship Quality
You would never have known that there were 2700 passangers aboard and 960 crew. It was spacious and the crew worked so hard to keep it spotless. Nothing was ever left for later.
Food and Dining
The dining was very nice in the restaurants. The serving staff was always willing to see that we got what we needed. We had a family reunion on board and had one set of toddler triplets to handle. The dining time we had worked very well for our group. The kids truely enjoyed the freedom to get pizza, chicken fingers and ice cream anytime they wanted.
Cabin / Stateroom
The staterooms were very nice. Having the commode separate from the shower helped get everyone ready for bed faster than just one sink.
Service and Staff
The staff was absolutely great. If we needed something special, they did their best to make it happen.
The shows we above expectations and it was different every night. The talent they had on board was phenomenal. There was a large variety of things to pick from and it lasted until late at night. Going to bed was a tough decision, we could miss something.
Children's Programs
Our son enjoyed the programming very much. He could check himself in and out (10 to 12 programming). He participated in the parts he wanted and checked himself out when it was done and rejoined his cousins or us at our activities. I would recommend bringing some sort of walkie talkie to keep track of kids.
