It was a kid cruise so it is what it is....chaotic, juvenile and childhood disease central. I would never pay to take this cruise line again. I feel you are strictly paying for the Disney name.
Embarkation

Very congested trying to get on the ship. I’m not new to cruising and this was a mess.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
Everything was kid friendly (except for the specialty dining option.) I found the food to be on par with fast food.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
We tried to use the kid zone and go do some adult things around the ship however we were called within the hour to come pick up our child. It was hard to have any adult time.
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
Horrible. Basically if your child cries or says “I miss Mommy” they call you ASAP to come pick up your child. I would have thought that the child care would try harder but at the drop of a hat they would call you.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
They were friendly but nothing really sticks out with me that made us feel special.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
I think the ship layout was decent. I’m not sure about cleanliness due to the fact that I came home with hand foot mouth disease and my daughter had a viral infection. I think when you have a ton of kids on one ship it is impossible to keep it but so clean.
Cabin / Stateroom

The room was kept clean but the decor was juvenile and the TV programming was terrible.
Ship tip
Don’t take the cruise, it was my worst experience onboard ever.
I have sailed on 3 of the 4 ships. And with and without kids and I had a blast in all of them. Decor is no juvenile at all. The ships are very classy. The food is amazing on the dining rooms and incredible in Palo and Remi. Sorry you had a bad time but it seems that you are the kind of person that blames others for mistakes you make.
I call shenanigans. We’ve been on 4 Disney cruises without incident, sickness, or other problems. We wash our hands and use sanitizer frequently though. It’s our practice at any amusement park, cruise ship, or other place with tons of people.
Yes, the OC will call you if YOUR child gets lonely or wants you. Do you expect Disney to hold your kids ransom? If your child wants you, if’s there job to page you. End of story. Let’s be honest, you’d be upset if they didnt call you and then you’d complain about it.
Dining isnt high end unless you eat at Palo or Remy. That being said we’ve never had a bad meal. If we didnt care for our entree we asked for something else. Cant find something you like on a Disney ship? That’s on you.
You said you came down with foot and mouth disease.... hummmm sounds like your weren't washing your hands or putting your hands where they shouldn't be!!
I'm sure most parents would be happy to pick up their kids if they are upset. They care for alot of kids so cant keep ones who don't want to be there. It's a family trip so normally you don't get alone time. Of course you pay for the Disney name, that's a given.
Obviously, you know there will be lots of kids. I went on a Baltic cruise on Norwegian this month and there were over 1000 children. You need to wash hands and sanitize. As for the food, the table service restaurants on Disney have excellent food quality. The counter service places are obviously fast food. As for the kids club, you won’t find a better one on any other cruise ship. NONE of the cruise lines will care for a child who is crying and carrying on, as this is traumatic to the child. It’s not a prison, so that’s your problem if your kid doesn’t want to stay. My 7 y/o loved it last year. The decor on the ship is NOT juvenile in the least. They’ve added classic Disney theming to a very classic decor. What I will tell you is that the value for going on Disney Cruise Line is simply not there. After our NCL cruise this month, I know that you get much more bang for your buck elsewhere. It is for this reason that I won’t sail Disney again.
