A Fabulous Time on the Disney Fantasy!

Sail Date: March 01, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Balcony

The ship is beautiful, spacious, and easy to navigate. The staff is helpful, friendly, and goes out of their way to make the kids feel special. It was my son's 5th birthday, and he had the time of his life! We believe it was worth every penny and every minute of planning to take this trip. We booked excursions through the ship and we were so glad we did. You meet on the ship with your excursion group and walk out together, so there is NO confusion about who to meet at the port. The excursions were well-planned and wonderfully priced.

Pros: Amazing staff, wonderful excursions, beautiful boat with lots of family acitivities!

Cons: The food, particularly the seafood, was not fantastic...

Recommends Disney Fantasy? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
We were really looking forward to the seafood in the boat, being that we are from a landlocked state. Unfortunately, the fish was fishy, scallops all had grit, and lobster was always undercooked, slimey, and chewy. The food overall lacked seasoning and flare. It was well-plated with very nice presentation, but just had very little flavor overall.

Service and Staff
Entertainment
New Disney movies played every day in a 3D theater! Great water slide and water areas that are safe and clean.
Children's Programs
My son has a nut allergy, and he was monitored and checked at every stage. Even his food in the dining room was prepared separately and with great care. They go above and beyond even what we do as his parents to keep him safe. The children's programming was phenomenal!
