A Beautiful Ship

Sail Date: May 26, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/young children

Room Type: Balcony

We signed up for the cruise with some trepidation of all the kids but we were on a family vacation with our own grand kids and we were not disappointed. The ship is beautiful, new. Sevice is excellent, friendly. Some areas are too crowded like the pool deck on at sea days and the pools are very small. Adult only areas are nice but also a small pool. Overall a wonderful time and lots or memories for the kids and adults too.

Pros: service, shows, decor, wait staff, Castaway Cay

Cons: Costa Maya, small pools, breakfasts, crowds top deck

Recommends Disney Fantasy? Yes!

Food and Dining
Food presentation was nice but not as tasty as it looked. Desserts were a big disappointment. Breakfast was a disaster everyday no matter where we chose to try it. Too crowded at Cabanas and no where to sit, service poor expecially in Enchatned Garden. Yolks of eggs were hare, hash browns like bricks. It was impossible to get what we wanted for breakfast. Food in Palo was delicious and service impeccable. Too bad we had to pay to get decent food and that kind of service.
Ship Quality
Cabin / Stateroom
Lots of storage, nice verandas although we were next to a family of 7 adjoining rooms with open verandas and the noise level was so bad AM and PM that we couldn't hear ourselves talking. Couldn't get our alarm to stop going off at 6:20 every AM- told our stateroom host about it twice and he never fixed it. Finalyly called guest sevices last day and they came and fixed it. Never got clean galsses in our stateroom and had to wash them every night. Again had to get after him to give us clean glasses
Service and Staff
Top notch expecially pirate night and fireworks.
