Review summary

We prefer the longer itineraries, but enjoyed our very short 3 night cruise on the Dream. The one critique I would have is that although we know there are usually only 3 movies shown on a 3 night cruise, we were VERY disappointed that it was basically one movie even though they had 2 hit movies in theatres at the time of the cruise. Frozen 2 was shown 3-5 times a day. Star Wars only had one daytime showing, all other showings were in the middle of the night. the third film, Maleficent was only shown 2 times. Enough with Frozen!!! if that many people want to see it, show it in Walt Disney Theater, not Buena Vista. Also would suggest to Disney that if a port gets cancelled and weather is bad, it would be good to add a film in Walt Disney Theater to draw crowds out of the halls when no one is on the top decks.

Our main dining room team and food were excellent! Richie and Miguel were fantastic! Buffet experience in Cabanas at lunch likewise did not disappoint.

Skyline Bar

Fredy is the best bartender on the ship!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Cleanliness was top notch. One thing we do not like on the Dream and Fantasy as compared to the Magic and Wonder is that several floors it is impossible or nearly impossible to get to the other end of the ship without changing floors. The result is the floors that do go from one end to the other are congested constantly. The most annoying layout issue was having to go through Cabanas if you are staying aft and go up the stairs or elevators to 11. You can't get to the sun deck without going through the buffet area. Ok if the buffet is closed, but a nightmare if you are trying to get to the sun deck during lunch or breakfast!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Excellent cabin! Loved our verandah and the layout of the cabin. Great view of the fireworks on pirate night without the crowd.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

We did not get off at this port because of the crime warning from the US and because there was no sea day on this itinerary and we wanted a day on the ship.

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island) Did not visit port

high winds and choppy seas prevented docking at the island
