Dawn Princess Cruise Review to Mexico
Ship: Dawn Princess
Cabin Type: Balcony
Traveled As: Couple

Review SummaryThis is our 3rd time on Princess and we have never been disappointed.
We enjoyed the cruise the staff was very friendly the service was very good and the food was excellent.
The ship is 10 years old but for the most part it is in very good shape. The size of the ship is just right for us, not too big. It is an exact duplicate of the Ocean Princess we cruised to Alaska on in the late 90's so we were somewhat familiar with the lay out.
We were in a balcony stateroom for the first time and I will not go back to an inside room again. Although the cabins are rather small the balcony makes it feel much bigger.
We went to the Mexican Riviera, Cabo San Lucas, Maztlan and Peurto Vallarta.
We enjoyed the stops for the most part. We took an excursion in Mazatlan and were disappointed in it. I did not feel like it was as advertised.
Overall a very good time and we will probably sail on Princess again.
Pros: Good service, good food. Although the Dawn Princess is fairly old it is well maintained with a friendly crew
Cons: Bed was very uncomfortable, like sleeping on a rock. Everything purchased on the ship is over priced from drinks to photos to souveniers
