I just recently returned from cruising the Alaska Inside Passage with Dawn Princess. The ship was truly beautiful and the food was very good. Most will enjoy the ports as long as you are dressed WARMLY. We went the week of July 22 and were socked-in with fog and cold the entire time. When we got to Glacier Bay the ship had to stop to wait for the fog to clear. The ports of call were all interesting, but the best shopping/prices were in Skagway. Ketchikan was a lot of fun and lots of things to see. My only complaint was the coffee on the ship was AWFUL-it tasted like instant coffee. Also, soda pop and hot cocoa are not included in your meal, but were considered "cocktails?" At $1.50 and $2.95 a piece, respectively. I give this cruise 4 stars out of 5.
