Wonderful Cruise by TravelTx07

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

We were 2 couples traveling together. We both celebrated our wedding anniversaries on board. Our cabin steward, Ariel, was great. He made sure our room was taken care of. We had a few plumbing problems, but Ariel took care of them right away. The food at the buffets was average. My husband and I had our anniversary dinner at the Crown Grill. Was a little disappointed in the food and service. My brother and sister in law had their anniversary dinner in at Sabatini's and it was excellent. The food and service was 5 star!  We also eat at The Salty Dog Gastropub. Very good food and service. The staff on the Crown Princess were very nice and helpful. We got to know quite a few of them during our 7 days on board. Each of the Port of calls we great and had wonderful excursions. Would highly recommend this cruise! Our first cruise and hopefully many more to come!

GREAT ITINERARY, GREAT CRUISE by smayhew

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Great itinerary. This was our third Princess Cruise and we’ve realized we enjoy the Regal Princess and Royal Princess layout much better than that of the Crown. Staff onboard the Crown were amazing and so attentive. The ship is very clean. It’s a bit older and showing some signs of her age, but I’d like to stress that in no way is she lacking in service (other than buffet hot food line) and/or cleanliness. Relaxing cruise.

Spectacular 👌😀 by Jillykaye

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess

We were so busy from start to finish. We met some great Aussies, Americans and Canadians on the trip that we caught up with each morning and night, we still keep in contact with them on social media and some we are planning another cruise with in the future. We made some great friends with bar staff, waiters and room stewards, again some we are still in contact with. The whole atmosphere was fantastic, loved the Crown Princess 100%👍❤️🍹😀

Fantastic weather on a beautiful cruise by nancyjcbs

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Caribbean

This was my first Princess cruise. The itinerary and length of the cruise were great. I loved that there were enough chairs and room in the pools for everyone to be happy. There are no fancy slides or other gimmicks so plenty of room for sunbathers like me. The food in the main dining room was better than I've had on Carnival or Norwegian. It's an older crowd and the activities and numbers of people around in the evening reflect that. I also chose to return to port or leave the deck in the early evening and had late seating which made it difficult to attend some evening entertainment. Many events were before dinner or during my dining time. I would definitely cruise Princess again but I'm not driven to use that line over any other.

Great Cruise if You're Feeling Old and Moving Slowly. Rating should be 2.0 stars, not 3.0 by eboyd59

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

It should have been a fantastic cruise with wonderful weather and the perfect season. An overcrowded ship and numerous issues made it not be the case.

Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Ship was beautiful can’t fault the food and service the food was always top quality just a shame wasn’t much entertainment like shows or magicians etc the kids only have a kids club but not much to do so would get bored easily otherwise if you can go with adults to relax eat and have a good time it is highly recommended

Our First Cruise on Princess Won't Be Our Last by cruizluvers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Had a little difficulty with the bunk beds in our room. Since there were only two of us, we didn't need them. Instead of Pullman-style bunk beds that fold out of the wall or ceiling, they hung on the walls. For a tiny room, it does not leave any room to get around especially when the twin beds are pushed together. It could be dangerous when getting up in the middle of the night when you don't realize the bunk bed is there and you could easily hit your head. The only solution was twin beds.

Top Notch All the Way! by bdiercks

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Alaska - Inside Passage

My wife and I went on this cruise to celebrate our retirement. It was a first cruise for both of us, so our expectations were pretty high from having looked at web sites, YouTube videos of this and other cruises, etc. I can honestly say, almost everything was perfect, and those things that weren't perfect probably couldn't have been improved upon much if any at all (eg. embarking and disembarking the ship which for those of us in our mid 60s were pretty hectic). We read reviews here before we left, and frankly, some of them concerned us. Having spent the week on the Crown Princess, we can only surmise that some people just can't be satisfied. The food on board was superb, the service excellent, cleanliness was impeccable throughout the ship. The entertainment, both in the theater and elsewhere was excellent. Although the ship was full, we never waited for very long to do anything. We don't have any other cruise line to compare Princess with, but I can't imagine any of the others being much better. There just wasn't any room for significant improvement. We can't wait until we take our next Princess cruise.

We loved this cruise by cherhamilton

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Mexico

We had always wanted to visit the sea of cortez and this cruise fit our agenda perfectly. There were a few hiccups (tendering in Cabo was a mess) but overall still a 5 star cruise and cruiseline. The sunsets were spectacular, ports were interesting - especially Loreto, and our mini suite

cabin was fantastic. This was our first Princess Cruise and they did not disappoint.

Had it not been for a few crew members and some awesome food, it would be zero stars by TravelingMi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

This ship was in sad shape.  Many of the crew members were not cheerful and were very, very tired. The stateroom was not set up with the items that we took the time to prearrange (distilled water, raised bed, coffee card, beer, extension cords, etc.).  The mold in our mini-suite bathroom was disgusting!  Princess has either completely missed the mark on this ship or has gone so far downhill that we may never cruise with our former favorite cruise line again. The bed was too hard and too low for me. The "plush" bathrobes looked like the had been used everyday for 50 years and the ties didn't even match. The laundry service was a complete disaster time and time again, ruining two items and failing to get the formal items back on time in decent condition. The jacuzzis in the lotus spa were not warm.  Really? I got cold while sitting in it. The couch in the mini suite needs to be cleaned.  I broke out in a rash just sitting briefly on it. The sliding door to the balcony was very difficult to open. The dining room was often difficult to get into.

The pluses, now.  Ample closet space, nice sized safe that requires a code rather than a card allowed us both access. Most of the food in the restaurants was very good, but I have to say I was refused child size portions. I liked the accessibility of our stateroom.  I did not for once have to compete with housekeeping carts due to the proximity to the elevator.  But our Accessible Mini Suite was smaller in size than our Accessible Balcony Stateroom on another cruise line.

I suggest that ship designers always consider wheelchairs, luggage and housekeeping carts when designing the hallways to the staterooms, as well as elevators.

Full of Fun, Entertainment, Relaxation and Value by ptanian

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Mexico

I must say for a 4 day cruise it was packed with many types of activities, food, fun and great service.  Embarkation was organized in an orderly fashion and their personal attention to customer service was delightful.  The crew of the Crown Princess takes pride of what they do with sincerity and it shows.

Great 7 Day Cruise! by unechantuese

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Mexico

When Princess Cruise Lines advertises "Come back new", they must have had this cruise in mind. There is not a lot of port time, so you spend almost 4 full days relaxing by the pool, in the hot tub, taking long walks around the Promenade deck by sunset...it's the perfect cruise for busy people who just want to get away from the phones, iPads, computers, televisions and listen to great music with a glass of wine or a martini. The port cities are clean, friendly, safe and fun. Just use common sense when in port and don't go off the beaten track. Lovely cruise!  Highly recommend it

Ship is due for dry dock. Mechanical issues need to be addressed. Ports we did get into were fine. 5 days at sea was ok because it was sunny and we enjoyed the pool. Missing 3 ports was not great though
