My overall impressions of Crown Princess were positive. It is a large ship\, with many amenities and is fairly easy to get around\, once you understand the layout. The staff was very well prepared\, friendly and professional. There were some issues that need to be addressed\, but nothing that cannot be corrected.
The ship provides a relatively comfortable accommodation and respite or all the activity one could want\, depending on one's choice.
Food and Dining

We ate in both the main dining rooms and buffet. The main dining room offerings were good and the service was very good. Breakfast in the buffet was pretty much the same every day. Mediocre quality. Good service.
Service and Staff

Here is where the Crown Princess shines. The staff were all great. We frequented the International Coffee Bar regularly during our voyage. The staff there were friendly\, knowledgeable and willing do provide whatever service we required. ALL were very professional.

Overall\, the ship seems to be in good condition\, although there are some areas that need attention. Some detailing shows age and use.

We had a balcony room on the Caribe deck (#10). Please do not confuse shipboard accommodations with hotels. They ARE smaller\, but overall\, comfortable. The room was kept very well by the steward. There are issues with worn carpet that while clean\, looks dirty due to its age. The bathroom was fine\, small shower\, but good water pressure and plenty of hot water. The balcony is a great place to sit and watch the sea\, although the floor mats could use a good steam cleaning and some other small\, cosmetic issues need addressing.
Pros: I liked the ship and it's amenities most of all.
Cons: The ports of call were the least attractive part of our cruise.
