Great escape from the cold!
Crown Princess Cruise Review to Caribbean - Eastern
Review SummaryThis was our honeymoon/first anniversary trip, 7 days on our first cruise in the carribean! Overall we had fun after we got used to cruising. The ship was very impressive and classy, our balcony room on riviera (deck 14) was awesome. The first night looked like a hurrican was going to hit, winds were very high and I slept like a baby rocked to sleep. The wife...not so much. We got to the bahamas.... too windy, so we can say we saw the bahamas....
Our only complaint was that we, in our 30's, were among the few younger people on the ship. Lots and lots of white hair, and the activities were mostly geared towards that generation. Lots of 50's trivia, etc. The wife went to see a screening of sex and the city and thought most of the crows was going to walk out shocked. But again, a very small complaint. We will probably try another line to see if the activities fit us more.
Food and Dining
The dining room was the best at dinner, anytime dining we never had a wait over 5 minutes, and there were always plenty to choose from. I had some great meals there. The desserts could've been better, and the rolls were rock hard :)
The buffet was OK, nothing spectacular... we found the grill on the last day, very good hot dogs!
Service and Staff
Cabin / Stateroom
Pros: Ship was great, food excellent, Grand Turk!
Cons: entertainment on ship, average age on ship (a little on the white-hair side)
